New Provision For SEE Result 2080 Grading System

The National Examination Board (NEB) has introduced a new grading system for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results in 2080. This grading system was initially planned to be implemented last year but faced delays due to various reasons.

Under the new grading system, the following characteristics have been introduced:

1. Letter Grading: The old system, which did not have a provision for NG (Not Graded), has now incorporated this grade. NG indicates that a student has failed to secure a minimum of 35 percent in theory and 40 percent in practical exams.

2. Chance Exam for NG: Students who receive a maximum of two NG grades in their subjects will be given the opportunity to retake a chance exam. This chance exam allows them to improve their grades in those specific subjects.

3. Limitations on Chance Exam: However, if a student has three or more NG grades, they will not be eligible to retake the chance exam. In such cases, they will be required to rewrite the examination.

In summary, the new grading system introduced by NEB includes the NG grade for students who fail to meet the minimum passing criteria and allows a chance exam for students with a maximum of two NG grades. Students with three or more NG grades will need to rewrite the exam.
